Adopt-A-Spot
Citizens sign up to care for a City park area from May to September.

This program encourages businesses along the access corridors to
landscape and be litter free.

The time to clean up North Platte. Volunteer groups or individuals sign up
for this program from April through May.
Each year area citizens pick up hundreds of bags of trash and clean
littered spots. Please call to

Green Thumb
A program which will begin in July where people can nominate homeowners who do a great landscaping and beautification job. Judges will visit the nominees in August. An award for each City Ward and one for the
Count y will be presented at the August Volunteer Picnic.

Green Vision
A program also beginning in July where businesses can be nominated for being litter free and having some type of nice
'green' landscaping. The business also will be asked what they do to participate in recycling. Awards will be presented at the August Volunteer Picnic.

Memorial Gardens
Organizations or groups sponsor, develop and maintain a dedicated public garden. Examples are: In Memorial Park - The John Cox Garden; The Compassionate Friends Garden. In Centennial Park – the Rose Klemm Rose Garden. The Barb Long Park by City Hall on 3rd Street. Contributions to assist in the maintenance of these parks can be sent to the Memorial Garden Fund at Keep North Platte Beautiful.

Neighbors Helping Neighbor
State Farm Insurance painted and fixed the outside of a residence.
The Jaycees, Boys and Girls Home and Western Alternative Corrections painted the trim
of the Opportunity Center Group Home for men. A Church painted and fixed a home.
Diamond Vogel supplied the paints.
