Senior
Center
at 10th & Eastman -also an Alley Cat 24 hour recycling
drop-off location & volunteer group!) (the Senior Center planted a
‘Snoopy’ flower bed for the neighboring Head Start kids…I believe
they plan on planting a ‘Woodstock’ next year to go along with
Snoopy! The
Senior
Center
also helps with recycling by sending in all of their ink jet & laser
cartridges, batteries, & they even go a step beyond their Alley Cat
unit by collecting Magazines inside the building…The staff &
volunteers truly exemplify the meaning of having Green Vision)
|
The
homes and businesses are judged by a pool of independent
judges (including some of
last year’s winners and KNPLCB
board members). We think
it’s GREAT that 2 of our volunteer sites
have become so involved in their community that they keep their
properties litter-free & absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
